Moscow, July 15 (Sputnik News Agency) – Andrei Lutskoy, President of St. Petersburg Peter the Great University of Technology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and President of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated in an interview with Sputnik News Agency that St. Petersburg Peter the Great University of Technology has signed an agreement with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China and has been included in the list of certified overseas partners to cooperate on Chinese expert training issues. A series of joint research centers have been established with Chinese partners and multiple joint projects are being implemented.
Thanks to direct cooperation with the Education Science Committee of China’s largest province, significant achievements have been made in education work. We have signed an agreement with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China, and St. Petersburg Peter the Great University of Technology has been included in the list of certified foreign partners, providing continuous opportunities for Chinese experts to further their studies
Lutskoy pointed out that St. Petersburg Peter the Great Polytechnic University is actively developing a network of partners in China. Saint Tech University has signed a direct agreement with the Shanghai branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, giving the university the opportunity to collaborate with top Chinese universities such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Xi’an Jiaotong University. This has significantly expanded its partner network, including 71 partner universities, 10 research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and over 20 leading industrial enterprises.
In 2016, as a pilot project, St. Petersburg University of Technology opened a representative office in Shanghai and established a joint engineering college with Jiangsu Normal University. In the academic year 2016-2017, there were 1551 students enrolled in Jiangsu Unite
